MIKES TACTICALS Sales, Shipping, Return, and Firearm Transfer Policies

California Compliance Notice

Firearms offered on the Mike’s Tacticals website may not be legal or California compliant.

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to confirm that a firearm, receiver, magazine, ammunition product, accessory, or other regulated item is legal to purchase, possess, and transfer in the purchaser’s state, county, and city before completing checkout.

California purchasers are responsible for confirming whether a handgun appears on the California Department of Justice Certified Handgun Roster or otherwise qualifies for a lawful exemption.

The California Certified Handgun Roster is available at:

https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/certified-handguns/search

Orders involving off-roster, prohibited, or non-California-compliant products that must be canceled may be subject to a 25% cancellation and restocking fee. Mike’s Tacticals is not responsible for purchasing errors resulting from a customer’s failure to verify applicable laws before placing an order.

Acceptance of an online order does not guarantee that the product can legally be delivered or transferred to the purchaser.

General Firearm Sales

All firearms, receivers, frames, magazines, ammunition, restricted law-enforcement products, and regulated accessories are sold and shipped in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Certain products appearing on our website may be restricted or prohibited in your location. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to review all applicable laws and confirm that the receiving Federal Firearms Licensee will accept and legally transfer the product before placing an order.

Mike’s Tacticals reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order that it reasonably believes cannot be lawfully sold, shipped, possessed, or transferred.

New firearms are generally shipped in the manufacturer’s original packaging with the magazines, accessories, manuals, and warranty materials supplied by the manufacturer. Package contents may vary by manufacturer and product.

Warranty claims involving a firearm must generally be handled by the original manufacturer. Firearms requiring warranty service should be submitted to the manufacturer in accordance with its warranty policies. Mike’s Tacticals does not provide an independent warranty unless a separate written warranty is expressly provided.

Accessories and specially ordered products that are not normally carried by Mike’s Tacticals are covered only by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, even when included as part of an integrated firearm package, unless Mike’s Tacticals guarantees the complete package in writing.

Nonreturnable Products

The following products are not eligible for return:

  • Firearms after they have been transferred to the purchaser.
  • Special-order products.
  • Products custom-built or configured to the purchaser’s specifications.
  • Products sold “as is.” Used products, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
  • Products installed, mounted, fired, altered, damaged, or used after receipt.
  • Illumination devices, electronic sights, optics, thermal devices, and night-vision equipment.
  • Ammunition, primers, powders, and other hazardous or regulated materials.
  • Any other product identified as a final-sale item on its product page.

Purchasing Firearms Online

Purchasers must satisfy all federal, state, and local age requirements. Federal law generally requires purchasers to be at least 18 years old to purchase a rifle or shotgun from a licensed dealer and at least 21 years old to purchase a handgun, frame, receiver, or other firearm. California generally requires a purchaser to be at least 21 years old to purchase a firearm, subject to limited statutory exceptions.

Additional restrictions may apply. The receiving dealer is responsible for completing the transfer and determining whether the purchaser satisfies all legal requirements.

To purchase a firearm online:

  1. Confirm that the firearm is legal in your state, county, and city.
  2. Confirm that a local Federal Firearms Licensee is willing and legally able to receive and transfer the firearm.
  3. Complete the purchase through the Mike’s Tacticals website.
  4. Provide the receiving dealer’s business name and contact information when requested.
  5. Ask the receiving dealer to send a signed copy of its current Federal Firearms License to Mike’s Tacticals using the contact information provided on our website.
  6. Include your full name and Mike’s Tacticals order number on all correspondence.
  7. Contact your receiving dealer directly after tracking shows that the shipment has arrived.

Firearms will only be shipped to a properly licensed Federal Firearms Licensee unless applicable law expressly permits another form of delivery.

The relationship between the purchaser and the receiving dealer is separate from the purchaser’s transaction with Mike’s Tacticals. Mike’s Tacticals does not control and is not responsible for the receiving dealer’s transfer fees, storage charges, policies, waiting periods, paperwork requirements, appointment availability, or decision to approve or deny a transfer.

Mike’s Tacticals cannot guarantee that the receiving dealer will notify the purchaser when a firearm arrives.

Inspection Before Transfer

The purchaser must carefully inspect the firearm at the receiving dealer before completing any transfer paperwork or accepting delivery.

If the firearm is damaged, incorrect, missing advertised components, or otherwise unacceptable, do not complete the transfer. Contact Mike’s Tacticals immediately for instructions.

Once the firearm has been transferred to the purchaser, the sale is final. Any subsequent defect, malfunction, or warranty issue must generally be addressed with the firearm’s manufacturer.

Background-Check Or Transfer Denials

The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that they are legally eligible to purchase and possess the ordered product.

A failed, delayed, expired, canceled, or denied background check does not automatically entitle the purchaser to a full refund. Orders that cannot be completed because of a background-check denial, failure to complete the required paperwork, missed deadline, purchaser ineligibility, or receiving-dealer refusal may be subject to a 25% cancellation and restocking fee, plus applicable shipping, insurance, transfer, storage, and other nonrecoverable charges.

Mike’s Tacticals does not receive or control the reasons for government background-check decisions and cannot provide legal advice concerning a denial.

Deposits And Preorders

Deposits for standard preorder products are nonrefundable. At the discretion of Mike’s Tacticals, an eligible standard preorder deposit may be converted into store credit toward another available product.

When a customer is notified that a standard preorder firearm is available, the remaining balance and pickup or transfer arrangements must be completed within 90 days. Failure to complete the purchase within that period may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Deposits and payments for custom-order, custom-built, allocated, limited-production, or specially configured firearms are nonrefundable and may not be converted into store credit unless Mike’s Tacticals agrees otherwise in writing.

Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed. Manufacturing, allocation, distribution, regulatory, and shipping delays may occur outside the control of Mike’s Tacticals.

California Firearms And Ammunition Excise Tax

California customers may be responsible for the applicable California firearms and ammunition excise tax imposed under California law, including Assembly Bill 28.

When applicable, the tax will be collected or reimbursed at the time required by law, which may include the time of sale, shipment, delivery, pickup, or transfer. This tax is separate from ordinary sales tax, DROS fees, dealer transfer fees, and other government or processing charges.

The amount displayed during online checkout may not include every tax or fee that must be collected by the receiving California dealer. The purchaser remains responsible for all applicable taxes and fees required to complete the transaction.

Returns And Cancellations

All firearm orders are considered committed purchases because the firearm may be ordered, allocated, reserved, or removed from available inventory specifically for the purchaser.

A cancellation, order change, return, background-check denial, failure to complete a transfer, or California purchaser’s order of an off-roster or noncompliant product may be subject to a 25% cancellation or restocking fee. Shipping charges, credit-card or payment-processing fees where legally permitted, transfer costs, special-order charges, and other nonrecoverable expenses may also be deducted.

For an eligible non-firearm product return, the purchaser must contact Mike’s Tacticals within 10 business days after receiving the product and request a Return Merchandise Authorization.

No return will be accepted without prior authorization.

An authorized product must be returned within 10 business days after the authorization is issued. It must include the original packaging, accessories, manuals, documentation, registration materials, and other contents supplied with the product.

An unopened, eligible product may be exchanged or refunded to the original payment method, less the applicable 25% restocking fee and nonrefundable charges.

If a sealed product has been opened or removed from its original packaging, an additional 10% open-box fee may apply, resulting in a total deduction of up to 35%.

Shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable unless Mike’s Tacticals determines that the return resulted from an error made by Mike’s Tacticals.

Unauthorized returns may be refused and returned to the sender at the sender’s expense.

Shipping

Mike’s Tacticals generally ships eligible orders through UPS or another approved carrier. Tracking information will be provided when available.

Firearms will only be shipped to an eligible Federal Firearms Licensee. Ammunition and other regulated products will only be shipped to locations and recipients permitted by applicable law.

The purchaser is responsible for providing accurate shipping and receiving-dealer information. Mike’s Tacticals is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information, an unavailable recipient, weather, carrier disruptions, government action, compliance reviews, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed.

Layaway

Unless a different written agreement applies:

  1. All layaway deposits are nonrefundable.
  2. The purchaser has 60 days from the date the firearm becomes available to pay the remaining balance.
  3. Failure to pay the balance within the required period may result in cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.
  4. A layaway product will not be shipped or transferred until the balance and all applicable charges have been paid in full.
  5. Products placed on layaway remain subject to all laws and eligibility requirements in effect at the time of transfer.

Online Pricing, Availability, And Description Errors

Product availability, pricing, specifications, photographs, descriptions, and package contents may change without notice.

Mike’s Tacticals makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate information but does not guarantee that every product title, description, image, specification, price, inventory status, or accessory listing is complete or error-free.

Mike’s Tacticals reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order involving:

  • An incorrect price.
  • An incorrect photograph or description.
  • An inventory or availability error.
  • A compliance concern.
  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized payment.
  • A product that cannot legally be shipped or transferred.
  • Any other material website or order-processing error.

If an order is canceled before shipment, Mike’s Tacticals will void the payment authorization or issue an appropriate refund.

If a product listing contains a material error, Mike’s Tacticals may contact the purchaser for approval of the corrected information before processing the order.

If an incorrect product is shipped, the purchaser must leave it unopened and contact Mike’s Tacticals for return instructions. The purchaser must not use, install, transfer, alter, or dispose of an incorrectly shipped product.

By placing an order, the purchaser acknowledges that Mike’s Tacticals will make the final determination regarding website discrepancies, subject to applicable law.

Order Fulfillment

In-stock orders generally ship within 3 to 10 business days after payment, compliance review, receiving-dealer documentation, and all other required information have been received and verified.

This timeframe is an estimate and does not include weekends, holidays, special orders, custom work, manufacturer delays, compliance holds, or carrier delays.

An order is not considered ready for shipment until Mike’s Tacticals has received all required information and payment.

Customer Service

If you experience a problem with an order or the checkout process, or need information regarding an order’s status, contact Mike’s Tacticals through the Contact Us page on our website.

Please include your full name, telephone number, order number, and a brief description of the issue. Do not send sensitive personal information through unsecured email.

Firearm Transfers

Mike’s Tacticals can ship firearms to an eligible Federal Firearms Licensee.

Incoming transfers handled directly by Mike’s Tacticals are $100 per firearm, unless a different fee is disclosed or agreed to in writing. California DROS fees, taxes, storage charges, compliance work, required safety devices, and other applicable charges are additional.

Transfer fees are subject to change and should be confirmed before a firearm is shipped to Mike’s Tacticals.

Customers must contact Mike’s Tacticals and receive approval before sending an incoming transfer.

Unapproved shipments may be refused.
